This week: Ecovacs updates the X9S Pro Omni, Dreame launches the ultra-thin Aero Pro wet/dry vacuum, and DJI's Romo robot vacuums move toward Matter smart home support.

Ecovacs has introduced the Deebot X9S Pro Omni, an updated version of the X9 Pro Omni with higher advertised suction and updated core systems. The X9S Pro Omni builds on the original's strengths while bringing incremental improvements to cleaning performance.
Meanwhile, the Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni has launched in Singapore with its OZMO Roller 3.0 mopping system featuring a 27 cm self-washing roller mop — 50% longer than the previous generation. PowerBoost charging restores 10% battery in just three minutes, enabling cleaning of up to 500 square meters in a single run. Priced at $899.99 in the US. [Source 1]
Dreame has launched the Aero Pro, a next-generation wet dry vacuum with an ultra-thin design engineered for effortless deeper cleaning. The cordless vacuum combines vacuuming and mopping in a slim form factor that can reach under low furniture more easily than traditional wet dry cleaners.
The Aero Pro has been available since February 5, 2026, and represents Dreame's push beyond robot vacuums into the cordless floor cleaner segment. [Source 1]
DJI has joined the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), signaling that its Romo robot vacuum line could receive Matter smart home support in the future. Matter compatibility would allow the DJI Romo to integrate with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home ecosystems — a significant step for a brand that currently lacks broad smart home integration.
The move comes after DJI patched a security vulnerability earlier this year that allowed remote access to thousands of Romo units. Strengthening smart home standards could help rebuild consumer confidence in the platform's security. [Source 1]
